BioAbout me? I'm gracefully moving from the first 1/3 of my life into the second third of my life. The first 33 years have been amazing, I can't wait to see what the next 33 years are going to look like!
I used to be a director of business development for an internet company. We did websites for radio stations. When I first started we had a total of 2 radio station clients, and when I decided to leave, we had over 1200 radio station clients (ABC, CBS, Clear Channel, Radio One, etc). We were supposed to go public and grew our company from 13 people to over 300 in only 1.5 years. But then the dot com bust happened, and we never went public. So becuase I missed my millions, I decided to work on other things. I was getting involved in real estate on the side and after I was making more part time in real estate than I was full time at my other job, I decided to take the plunge and get into something else.
Now I am a mortgage loan officer. I work for my self but run my loans through a mortgage banker. I like the arrangement, becuase I am a direct lender, and I really control the transaction much more than a mortgage broker does. Not to mention I get better rates than brokers and retail banks.
So why am I here on live journal? I am just looking to get back into the online community scene. I miss making new friends all over the world, and actually, becuase I work for myself from my home office, I kinda miss the office banter and the interaction with co-workers. I know this isnt the same, but I figure I'll meet new people here that I like, and others who are morons who I just have to deal with (just like at a real job).
